Accomplished author, artist, and former river guide Audrey Lee combines her talents to provide her audiences with realistic, breathtaking tales in a new and refreshing manner.  Her current work–Mystic Storytelling–depends on her ability to link to the realm of the spirit.

Audrey believes that her success in any artistic endeavor is truly based on the ability to live out the uniqueness of ones created being, or authentic self; and, thereby, become a Hollow Bone to bridge the gap between oneself and the Profundities of spirit and soul, oneself and the Great Creator, oneself and the creation and, finally, oneself and other people.

Therefore, her quest as a successful artist and storyteller began with self-discovery. Her stories and art are a manifestation of that process. Shaman to the spirit within, she calls forth the Profundities and allows them to flow from deep within her subconscious and spirit.

Audrey’s second book “Take a Ride on The River”, She is especially qualified to write this book since she worked as a deckhand on Lake Powell for two years as well as piloted 22 passenger pontoon rafts down the Colorado River from Glen Canyon Dam to Lee’s Ferry for three years.

Today, Audrey’s passion has finally found her and she delights in telling stories, especially about her times on the Colorado River.

Write “Colorado” on your heart by taking a realistic guided tour down the River with Audrey Lee, accomplished author, artist and pilot. Audrey ran the river for three years and worked on Lake Powell for another two years. This book has full color photographs and includes facts about the Glen Canyon Dam, Colorado River flow and usage, Robert Stanton, Charles Spencer and gold mining, John D. Lee and Lee’s Ferry, animals and birds of the Colorado Plateau, hydrology and geology of this section of the river, ancient civilizations and their beliefs, legends and petroglyphs.

It also relates tales about John Wesley Powell, the first “river runner” of the Colorado as well as other river runners such as Norman Nevills, Bus Hatch, Georgie White, Glenn and Bessie Hyde, and Bill Beer and John Daggett, who swam the river with life vests. The book also includes Emory and Ellsworth Kolb, who made the world’s first true-life adventure movie about running the river. Barry Goldwater also made a movie, which actually got his political career started. Experiencing the emerald green water and breath-taking vistas will bring you to a red rock cathedral that surpasses any man made structure on earth.
